Although Ann and I are not involved in this new endeavor, we wanted to share this good news with our jazz friends.  We wish the Sahara Club and the new impresario, Arthur Bakopolus, all the very best in bringing live jazz back to the Merrimack Valley.

January 1, 2021

Hello jazz enthusiasts and Happy New Year to you all.

-----------------

It's TIME!  I write today with a heavy heart as due to the uncertainty of the current pandemic crisis among other reasons, Jocko’s Jazz is discontinued effective immediately.

-----------------

It’s been a phenomenal 22 years of meeting wonderful people who share a love for jazz and great performers who have come through our venue. Many world class bands, musicians and vocalists of national and international acclaim have performed here and are too numerous to mention. We thank each and every one of you for giving us the opportunity to showcase your talents. To all those performers who were willing to partner with us when we first started, a SPECIAL thank you.

But MOST of all, we want to thank the jazz lovers who supported us and the jazz for all these years. Many of you have been with us since we first started. We’ve made many great friends over the years and are thankful for all of you. We could not have done it without your support from the time of the Casa Vecchia to the more recent time at the Sahara Club and we also want to thank the management and staff of those venues. A final thank you goes out to our friends and family who have helped us with the promotion of our events in video, print, and internet forms.

So we bid farewell to all our friends and we wish you all good health and prosperity going forward. Continue to support live jazz and other genres wherever you may find it as you have done for us. God Bless you all!!
